LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Friends,
“Welcome to AVAS Christian School. I am excited that you are here! I want you to know that the parents of our students are vital to the success here at our “Christian School.” We cannot have a Christian school without those that entrust their children to us.
We strive to provide a quality Christian education that honors the Lord and is based on the Bible. We ask you to strive to help us in our mission to make God more known throughout the world.
Our Christian School family exists to show children Jesus, nurture their love for Him and others, teach them to think, and empower them to serve.
The AVAS Christian School is here to provide a spiritually oriented education for children. A belief in the existence of the Creator God is fundamental in the philosophy of Christian schools. We respect His divine authority and recognize His intervention in human affairs. We believe that true education develops the spiritual, mental, and physical powers of each student; preparing them for the joy of service in this life and for the higher joy of service in the life to come. To achieve this goal, we encourage each student to:
1. develop a personal relationship with God and his fellow men as stated in Matthew 2:37-39
2. master the basic academic skills
3. value labor, physical and mental, as the
4. blessing God intended
5. cultivate physical fitness, mental ability, and moral purity as the blessing God intended.
· TEACH: Reverence for God, respect for others, responsibility for one's self and academic excellence.
· ENCOURAGE: A lifestyle based on the principles of the Holy Scriptures and an abiding relationship with God.
· INSPIRE: Excellence in every achievement and an appreciation for service to mankind.
· LOVE: Every student as a unique individual, recognizing his/her dignity and infinite value.
The AVAS Christian School operates in harmony with the guidance and direction of the Bible. Every student entrusted to our care is a gift from God to be educated for both now and eternity.
Thank you for allowing us the privilege of teaching your child: “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6.
LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL
“Welcome to our Christian School. It is a privilege to partner with your family in the education of your child. It is our mission to impact the lives of our students in such a way that causes them to seek after God and desire to follow Him.
Our school will not only teach them the academic disciplines, but will strive to instill in their hearts Christ-like character qualities. We will teach them Biblical responses to conflict and how to apply scripture to their daily lives.
Our Christian School is a place where children and parents alike, can feel safe, loved and confident in the educational experience they will receive. We are committed to Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”
Your Partner in Christ,
Letter From the Principal
Dear Parents & Family:
“Welcome to our beloved Christian Academy.
A new school year is always exciting. Our focus will be on providing each student with new challenges that will result in a rewarding biblical, academic, and social education and experiences. Through Direct Instruction and thought-provoking Christian education, quality academic emphasis on the core content areas of Bible, reading, language arts, science, social studies, and mathematics will remain a priority. We are committed to providing a learning program that builds each year, reaching beyond state and national standards while fulfilling our call to ministry. Instruction in music, foreign language, art, technology, and physical education completes our program by providing each student with the opportunity to develop areas of interest and skill. Character development and serving in missions is also a concentration as students yield to the Lord’s will. Students will embark upon Christian principles as they honor God through their character, leadership, gifts, and service.
As we begin this year, please remember that we welcome your involvement. We invite and encourage you to join our Partners’ organization and to join us for future school activities, field trips, and special school events. You will help with establishing support for our teachers and a lasting God-First relationship with our school community.
I look forward to working with you and our students throughout the school year to provide a productive and safe learning environment that supports student success and brings glory to God. We are committed to the school’s mission and vision to foster Gospel-centered, lifelong learners. With eager expectation, we look forward to our students serving as responsible God-first leaders.”
